Seckou Keita: Homeland Band

Returning to his roots with new album ‘Homeland’ (set for release in October), the kora star is exploring identity, belonging and the very idea of home, influenced by his own relationship with both his adoptive UK homeland and his native country of Senegal.

Bringing together seven of West Africa’s greatest living performers, including vocalist Korka Dieng and Moustapha Gaye, lead guitarist for Youssou n’Dour, this show will range from new compositions to poetry, sacred prayers and raucous dance, exploring what it means to be a modern global citizen while living with seven centuries of musical heritage between his fingers.
