Title:  Head of Sales and Events

Division: Events

Reports to: Sales and Events Director (COO in their absence)

Working week: A full time role, with requirement of a combination of in-office work and onsite shifts to support with membership activations and member or potential lead engagement*.

*The role will usually operate from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, but will include time spend in the operation to support the execution of relevant events, attend events with acquisition potential, and work closely with the events team to deliver on the needs of business where a flexible working schedule will be required.

Job Summary

We are seeking a commercially driven and dynamic Head of Sales & Events to lead our revenue strategy, drive business growth, and oversee the seamless execution of luxury events. This role is pivotal in maximising sales opportunities across private hires, corporate partnerships, and brand collaborations, while ensuring the highest standard of event execution.

Leading a high-performing team, you will be responsible for strategic sales planning, client relationship management, and operational execution, ensuring that each event aligns with the brand’s positioning. You will have a strong commercial mindset, an established industry network, and a passion for curating exceptional, high-end experiences that drive revenue and brand loyalty.

Role & Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s commercial goals.
  • Drive revenue by securing private hires, corporate bookings, brand partnerships, and luxury experiences.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value clients through strategic networking, proactive outreach, and relationship management.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth.
  • Set and monitor sales targets and KPIs, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds revenue objectives.
  • Implement innovative pricing strategies and seasonal rate adjustments to maximise profitability.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring commercially sound agreements that drive long-term value.
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to create compelling sales collateral and promotional campaigns.

Event Strategy & Execution

  • Oversee the successful execution of all private and brand-led events, ensuring world-class production and operational excellence.
  • Develop scalable event planning processes that drive efficiency and consistency across multiple spaces and locations.
  • Lead the overall event calendar strategy, ensuring minimal dark days and maximum venue utilisation.
  • Partner with internal teams—including operations, hospitality, and technical production—to ensure smooth event delivery.
  • Evaluate event success through post-event analysis, gathering client feedback and leveraging insights for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all events align with brand standards, reinforcing a luxury and bespoke guest experience.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Sales & Events team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive accountability and ownership within the team, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and training to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication across departments.
  • Recruit and retain top industry talent, ensuring a strong and motivated team that aligns with the brand’s vision.

Client & Industry Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, corporate partners, and luxury brands.
  • Actively engage in industry networking, attending high-profile events and trade shows to position the brand as a leading destination.
  • Drive brand visibility by securing strategic partnerships and collaborations.
  • Ensure a strong on-site presence during key events, building relationships with clients and overseeing VIP experiences.

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Manage the department’s budget, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Oversee all event documentation, contracts, and compliance with legal and H&S standards.
  • Work closely with finance to forecast revenue, track performance, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure event spaces are optimised to maximise profit while maintaining brand integrity.

About You

We are looking for an exceptional leader who is passionate about sales, luxury events, and brand-driven experiences. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in high-end event sales, venue sales, or luxury hospitality sales.
  • A proven track record of driving revenue growth and securing high-value clients.
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK events and luxury brand landscape, with strong industry connections.
  • A strategic and commercial mindset, with the ability to balance creativity and business performance.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and delivering on commercial targets.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • A deep understanding of luxury hospitality, service excellence, and brand positioning.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, juggling multiple priorities while delivering excellence.
  • A hands-on approach, with a willingness to be on-site during key events and peak trading periods.
