Working week
: The role will require a combination of in-office work and onsite shifts to support with events execution*.
*The role will usually operate from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, but will include evening work in the house to support the execution of relevant events, attend events with acquisition potential, and work closely with the events & membership team to deliver on the needs of business.

Job Summary

With drive, ambition and thorough understanding of the Brand and product, the role of the Events Specialist is to lead in fulfilling the core sales objective to negotiate, confirm and event manage Corporate and Private Hires, and meet commercial targets.

This role has a strong entrepreneurial aspect and involve proactive outreach and internal engagement, keeping up with industry trends, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of our brand’s offering. The Event Specialist is also to proactively engage with current and potential members, contributors, and ambassadors of the brand to unlock opportunities of additional sales, retention and collaboration.

Reporting directly to the Sales & Events Director, but liaising across multiple outlets of the business, you will be actively supporting outreach and the delivery of a dynamic strategy in reaching our targets, supporting the full sales cycle, from contract creation to invoicing, ensuring a smooth transition to the Event Manager for execution

As part of the Sales & Events team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering dynamic strategies that support our business objectives, reporting directly to the Sales & Events Director while collaborating across multiple business units.

Role and responsibilities

  •  Develop and implement a event sales strategy to meet and exceed sales targets, with a primary focus on corporate revenue generation, specifically across private dining areas, penthouse and areas that are closed within standard trading patterns.
  • Drive proactive event sales, including lead generation that aligns with brand objectives, with a main focus on securing event sales and where appropriate, corporate memberships.
  • Serve as a key contact for corporate site visits and tours, ensuring a seamless client experience
  • Engage with corporate members maximise membership fulfilment, and promoting retention and increasing engagement
  • Lead sales initiatives as a strong communicator with a commercial essence
  • Proactively research, generate and contact leads to build key relationships, integrating these with an entrepreneurial mindset encouraging collaboration across departments.
  • Conduct market research to develop ideas and identify opportunities, making commercially informed decisions
  • Leverage existing database and system processes to grow & strengthen the B2B database, aligning efforts with business goals.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from contract creation to invoicing, ensuring a smooth transition to the Event Manager for execution
  • Provide weekly report on proactive activity including pipeline and network growth
  • Organise ‘showcases’ for the event industry and invite key influencers for tailored experiences.
  • Follow up all communications with collateral, tours, meetings, and proposals to secure conversations
  • Champion CRM/Salesforce across commercial teams, streamlining processes with finance and legal departments to enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the Membership and Cultural Events Teams to maximise the use of areas.
  • Review House of KOKO Private Event offering annually with the Sales & Event Director and support this role as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with event suppliers to drive future commercial opportunities through partnerships and commission structures.
  • With insight and supported reasoning, provide input to business offerings, outreach and collaborations.
  • Foster a strong understanding of the brand across departments, ensuring alignment with brand identity and strategy.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, contributing to performance management, recruitment, and succession planning.

About you

You’re a commercially minded events professional with a proven track record in delivering standout experiences across corporate, private and member-led environments. You balance operational depth with a strong sales instinct and you’re confident navigating multi-stakeholder projects across fast-moving, high-profile venues.

  • At least 5 years’ experience managing complex events across multi-space venues, ideally with exposure to private members clubs or premium hospitality environments.
  • You know the UK events landscape inside out, with strong existing relationships across agencies & vendors, organisers and luxury brands.
  • You’ve led or helped shape high-performing sales & events teams, supporting others while keeping the pace and setting clear standards.
  • You’re financially fluent and comfortable working with budgets, understanding margin, and using commercial data to guide day-to-day decisions.
  • You’re a natural communicator, able to brief clearly, build trust with clients, and collaborate cross-functionally with ease.
  • You’re adaptable, solutions-focused, and comfortable in an evolving role – ready to grow alongside a business that’s constantly evolving and scaling.
